Material girl
Earlier this evening, when I came to job #2 of the day (if you can call hanging out with the coolest kid in town a job..?) I was met by a very lovely surprise:
Thanks a million darling Shampa!!
Thank you, Leslie
I remember clearly the first time I saw a movie with Leslie Nielsen. It was a number of years ago (2007?), with best friend Sophia and boyfriend at the time Gustav, on a very long bus trip.
Stockholm - Prague and back; a trip that included two drunk older men taking their clothes off, Sophias passport panic by some border, beef jerky and finishing up with a nice accident leaving no one but me hurt. Of course.
The highlight was definitely when the (probably wasted-) bus driver decided to drown the sound of people snoring with the amazing movie - Wrongfully Accused.
Don't think I've laughed so hard in my entire life, I'll never forget me and Sophia rolling around in the aisle trying to catch our breath from laughing so hard...
RIP Leslie Nielsen.
Ice dance
The word on everyones lips today is snow. In the afternoon the sun came out and big flakes of white danced down from the sky.
I forgot how beautiful it can be.. and we all know why it snows, right?
Morning glory
I'm really not a morning person. Whenever I have to get up before 10 (eh, scrape that.. more like noon), I'm not very pleasant to be around, to say the least. It's almost as bad as when I'm hungry..
anyhow - today the alarm went off at 5:30. Pitchblack outside, freezing cold and my two current roomies fast asleep. But today, something was different. Crawling out from under the covers wasn't as bad as it usually is, I even managed to get a bit of breakfast.
Then coming to work only to be fed a bit more and given a rose, it felt like a pretty sweet morning!
Le Love
On this rainy day (haven't seen the sunshine for what? Two weeks now?) I felt it was a good time to share with you, my dear friends, one of my favourite blogs.
Full of beautiful, sad and touching pictures and texts - all about the never boring subject of love. Enjoy!
Dear Holly...
Another "Hollys last night in Paris" has passed, and just like last time - we seem to open up completely to eachother and share absolutely everything on those particular nights.
Holly my darling, I miss you already! See you soon for some more juicy gossip and high heel-classes ; )
Leaving on a jetplane
Not only am I jetting home to Stockholm over christmas and new years - less than two months later me and mommy dearest will be meeting up in Barcelona!
Bestest mum booked flights and a room at an amazing looking hotel just the other day, wiie!
Anyone who has ever been to Barca, feel free to leave tips on what to see and do!
(All I can think of right now is tapas.. tapas, tapas... and some more tapas, miam!)
Mother and daughter in Paris earlier this year - can't wait for february to come!
Like a prayer
Stockholm Boogie
The other day me and the best mom in the world (mine, just to be extra clear) booked me tickets to go back to dear old stockholm over x-mas and new years.
It will be exactly one year since I last stepped foot on swedish ground, or any other ground than french for that matter.
Feels strange, exciting and to be honest, I'm a teensy bit nervous. I've had many good times in my hometown, I'm sure more than one of you remember some of these old goodies:
... Stockholm, look out - Here I come again !!!
Pirates!
A very good weekend has passed - friday was spent at the movies, followed by a stroll, a new bar where they served beer in mysterious bottles, chips at the hideout and grecs before crashing at Duncans place.
Saturday was a very exciting night - Pirate party at WOS! Rhum, treasure hunt and loads of pirate-dressed friends. Party 'til 5 in the morning, back to Duncans again, scrambled eggs on toast, falling asleep in front of Pulp Fiction and being carried like a baby to a warm bed. Only to be awoken a few hours later by a frenchman knocking on the window.. hm.
A lazy sunday followed, just as it should be - Hook and pasta at a friend/neighbours place. An early night and some quality time inbetween friends.
I'd say I had a pretty great weekend!
Trisse
Two days ago a part of our family left us. Trisse, you went way too early my darling, you will be missed.
<3
I <3 le week end
Shopping and lovely wine/gratin lunch with Dave, movie night with les girls (plus Marcel), hugs with darling Camille who was in town for a night, p'tit afterparty with promising screenwriter-friend Erich and stopping by st germain des pres to say hej to beautiful Anita Ekberg.
Now, coffee and muffins. Perfect weekend!
Muffins and moviedates
After a nice evening of When Harry Met Sally (scandalous capital letters there...!) accompanied by home made muffins with Aurélie, and the last of The Bourne Triology (I did it again..!!) with Matthew I'm tucking myself in.
Hot date at the bank tomorrow, wish me luck!
Tuesday afternoon
Started the day by waving goodbye to darling Emilia, sniff. Only one little mooseketeer left now! A longed after skype date with Moosabel helped cheer me up, followed by a therapeutic (/insane) cleaning session.
After a couple of True Blood episodes I'm heading off to Davy's for chili,
laters!
