Sunday love
Me and darling Josie have started a new sunday tradition - since both of us usually spend that day sitting around staring numbly in to the wall, we thought we'd change that up a bit. So since a couple of weeks back, our new thing is dinner + movie at Josies, then live music wherever it can be found!
This sunday we ended up at the l'internationale, a really cool venue with cheap drinks and lots of live music. Recommended!
Baby bottles and a bruised bum
Last night I decided, against my better judgement, to give the coughing and nose blowing a nice night out on the town with two of my favourite people - Josie and Duncan. First, fondue, wine in baby bottles and climbing over tables in Montmartre. After that we moved up the road to Chez Camille, had a drink before we said goodbye to Josie and moved on to WOS, where a GI Jane costume awaited me.. A fun night that ended in a bruised bum on my part, oopsie. Now - back to blowing my nose and coughing.
Ciao for now!
Match maker
Last night we went to the cosy little bar Chez Camille, up in montmartre. After some music and drinks me and Josie went out for some air and gossip...
Me: So, who's the hot bartender you were talking about?
Josie: (goes a bit pink) ... he's standing right there.
Hot bartender: (laughs) well, that was funny!
Smooth as always.. oh well, hopefully I helped them along a bit!
Restless
It's quite amazing how restless I get after spending just a few hours alone at home. I just kinda wander around, picking things up, putting them back down, doing some dishes, getting bored, sitting down, standing back up, wandering a bit more. Very monotone, very boring.
Suddenly got a craving for swedish frallor with swedish präst-cheese. And a glass of O'boy... this monday night is just getting better and better.
Will go back to aimlessly wandering around the apartment now. That or reading a bit of my brutally bloody book, before getting bored again and go back to wandering around.
Laters.
(Can't seem to post youtoube videos at the moment - but click here here here for soundtrack of the night. Johnny is the only thing livening up this dark evening a bit...)
I <3 aussies
I couldn't tell you when it started, but for a longer period of time now, I've had a thing for australia (and it's people). I've always dreamed of going, and the accent makes me melt in about 2 seconds..
that's why I'm very excited on this particular day - because, dan dan daaaaa.... it's Australia day! Woop woop! Let's PARTY!
Another exciting tuesday night
The few nights that I don't spend out on big adventures I like to cuddle up on the couch with various movies and series. Tonight the following is on the agenda:
(anyone who can guess all three gets a kiss!)
The come back
Yesterday was an absolutely gorgeous winters day, and the first time in a while now that I've slowly begun feeling somewhat like myself again. So look out folks - I'm on my way back!
Working most of the day and then finishing off the week amongst smiley, lovely people was just what I needed. Sangria at a crowded bar, beers at the moose, shots at WOS and afterparty to top it off.
A tad more quiet tonight, babysitting the cutest 1 year old I know, listening to her calmly dream away in her crib while nibbling on a slice of pizza. (me, not her)
It's good to be me today.
Dancing shoes
Saturday night turned out very well - met up with dear friend Duncan for some drinks at mine, then we headed to Bizz'art which surprisingly, was just around the corner from me! Listened to a cool gig and saw people getting their hair cut on stage. It was great to go to an actual club and dance the night away, it's been waaay too long.
Now off for some typical sunday activities (in the sun! yay!) - Ikea!
So much for an early night in
Last night the plan was to go down to metro bar, say hi to Orlando, have a drink or two and then go home and crash relatively early. An unknown number of beers, a bowl of nachos, a dog bite (!), a bag of mussels and some very interesting conversation later it was suddenly 6 in the morning. Oops...
Friday night update
Not feeling on top today, so this friday nights adventures will be in le quartier. Metro bar where darling Orlando organizes events with live music every friday, very cool.
Last night was spent at Thomas' and lilla Vinyles, lovely : )
Ciao for now babes!
Back in black
Back in Paris - and back to beeing at home for 2 minutes at a time.. everything happens so fast here, and there's always something going on. It's one of the main reasons I love living here so much, but sometimes it really gets to me. Too much emotion about something that may not be as dramatic as it seems; too many thoughts, words and feelings at the same time.
Stressful, yes - but oh, how I love it...
Now, bed (/couch) for a couple of hours before the alarm goes of at 5:30 and it's time to hop to work again.
Goodnight my lovers
A final goodbye
... to the year 2010. Bit of closure here on the first day of the new year. Two more days in Stockholm, then I'm kicking in 2011 in my beloved Paris!
Until then, a last little summary of the past year. Hope you guys had a fantastic new years eve!
xx
Did you do anything you've never done before this year?
Hm.. nothing I can share here. Oh wait, yes, I discovered my passion for late night swimming in dirty rivers!
Do you have any new year resolutions?
Getting my economy under some sort of control, not having to panic completely every month would be very nice.
Did any of your friends become parents this year?
Nope, but soon!
Which countries did you visit?
France and Sweden, not much moving around this year...
Which date from 2010 will you always remember?
September 13th.
What was your biggest succes this year?
Haha, biggest succes? I'll leave you guys to answer that for me, because my mind is
b l a n k.
Biggest mistake?
Ah, who has the time to regret anything? Oh, maybe slamming that door on my finger.. could have lived without that.
Best buy?
Tickets to see Axl in Bercy, definitely.
What did you spend most money on?
Probably drinks... wait; most certainly drinks.
Did anything make you really happy?
Would it be very sad if I said no? Just kidding my dears, loads of things made me very happy this year! My birthday celebration made me happy, thanks to my lovely ladies. And that's just the first thing that popped in to my head.
What songs will always remind you of 2010?
I'm from Barcelona!
Were you happier or sadder this year in comparison to previous ones?
In phases, I was probably angrier than I've been in a while (actually not sure, I'm always a bit on edge.. hm), but not sadder. Over all, I've been quite content with life this year.
What do you wish you had done more of?
Swimming maybe? Or picnicing? No wait, I did that every day this summer. Eh. Pass.
Favorite TV show?
Started watching True Blood and got hooked!
What did you do on your birthday 2010?
It wasn't only my birthday this year - it was birthday week! I got to spend it with some of the best people in the world; the festivities included a trip to Buddha Bar, balloons at the Highlander, lovely presents, champagne, dinner and candle lit cake at Chez Papa and a party at our place that proved once and for all just how great our party planning skills are!
(trick: don't plan anything, just buy loads of booze and tell everyone to bring whoever they want. Success guaranteed!)
How would you describe your style this year?
Mostly black, as usual.
The best new person you met?
Easiest question of all - Moosabel of course!
2010, part deux
July
Visits from the whole family (not all at once) and lots of new lovely people to picnic and party with!
August
Pretty much all pictures from August includes Isabel, and the Moose - so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out how I spent most of that month...
September
Darling Carolina joined our swedes in Paris-crew, I decided it was not yet cold enough for some late night swimming, we celebrated a bunch of birthdays and last but certainly not least - Guns N' Roses in Bercy!!!
October
All hallows eve; twice in a row, lot's of aussies and a final proof of just how bad both mine and Emilias sense of direction is...
November
Lot's of parties, including a Pirate themed one and thanksgiving at Marcel and Angelas.
December
Hanging out with Josie (and little Martina, of course), a classy night of Ferrero Rocher and Champagne - quickly turning in to a heavy metal gig and who knows what... Thomas, a tattoo and then back to where it all started - Stockholm!
It's had it's ups and downs, but all in all, it's been good.
Most importantly, I've met a number of people I can't see myself without now;
now let's say CHEERS to a fantastic new year!!!

Said goodbye to Emilia who went back to the north, and started hanging out with Patrick, amongst other great people.

A perfect balance
After a very long night at Marks on monday (got up at 6 monday morning for work, and got to bed at around 8 o'clock tuesday morning, tired anyone?) I decided to take a nice and calm tuesday. Work for a couple of hours, a drink with new found french friend and dinner + movie at Daves.
This means that I will most likely need some entertainment tonight.. Josie, I'm counting on you!
And I give to you; Song of the day!
"I'll move to Paris, shoot some heroin and fuck with the stars.. "
Oysters and jazz
I've been very quiet this weekend, since it has been quite eventless. Anyhow, I spent a very pleasant friday evening in the company of Matthew, Orlando, Ash etc. Oysters were served, jazz was played - very french indeed.
Now I'm going back to my un-happening weekend, laters lovers
Dear Holly...
Another "Hollys last night in Paris" has passed, and just like last time - we seem to open up completely to eachother and share absolutely everything on those particular nights.
Holly my darling, I miss you already! See you soon for some more juicy gossip and high heel-classes ; )
Pirates!
A very good weekend has passed - friday was spent at the movies, followed by a stroll, a new bar where they served beer in mysterious bottles, chips at the hideout and grecs before crashing at Duncans place.
Saturday was a very exciting night - Pirate party at WOS! Rhum, treasure hunt and loads of pirate-dressed friends. Party 'til 5 in the morning, back to Duncans again, scrambled eggs on toast, falling asleep in front of Pulp Fiction and being carried like a baby to a warm bed. Only to be awoken a few hours later by a frenchman knocking on the window.. hm.
A lazy sunday followed, just as it should be - Hook and pasta at a friend/neighbours place. An early night and some quality time inbetween friends.
I'd say I had a pretty great weekend!
