Moving

I am aware of that the blog is a bit of a mess at the moment - but that's because it's about to move! Woop!

New one still not quite ready - but further on you'll find me HERE!

Happy days!

This disgusting cold of mine is really starting to try my temper, which is why I am more than happy to report that by thursday it MUST be gone. It has no choice but to be moved out of my body by then, because thursday this week is a very special day...

Anyone want to take a wild guess??

Goodbye dear sunshine, hello Paris

Sitting on the roof top tanning suddenly feels very distant looking out the window - Paris is grey, cold and rainy. Grumpy people, crowded metros, expensive expensive expensive. Ah, it's good to be back!

Bye bye Barcelona - for this time.. : )

Paris by day

Got up early (well, early in my world), had a proper breakfast with a lovely man, spent two hours in the company of a very smily and talkative 4 month-old, then decided to take a stroll through Cimetière du Montparnasse, in the sun (woop!). Left an hour later, after having talked about litterature, life and love with a french poet.

Home, salad for lunch (emilia, be proud!), bit of tidying up the place and then off to babysitting of my favourite p'tit casanova of Paris.

Lovely, lovely day!

Why?

... do people in movies about the future always wear black leather? Why is it that the only movie I've managed to see in VO on french tv is I Robot? And also, why have I managed to see it twice? On the same channel. In less than two months. All these big questions flying around on this quiet thursday night.

The pics have nothing to do with the text, just a couple of snaps of great people around me. Now, back to black leather and cheesy dialogue. Laters

Enter the void

These latest couple of days have left me feeling... weird. Bad weird. I've woken up every day, looking out on a sunny sky and the only thing I've wanted to do is bury myself deep under the covers again.

I'm doing all I can to feel better, but that strange, tingeling, unsettling feeling is still there.

I'm just gonna hide here under my hood until something makes me feel better.

Doubt

This song suits me absolutely perfect today. Unfortunately for you non-swedes, you won't be able to understand the beautiful lyrics.

But listen anyway!

Det kallas tvivel, det där som stör

Det kallas för en klump i magen och ett konstigt humör

....

Det känns tomt, eller hur?

Sunday field trip

Me and roomie Moko spent the afternoon very much enjoying ourselves, at Ikea - really feels like going back to stockholm for a while. Love it! It took ages to get there (went too far with the metro and then had to go all the way out to the airport to get another train followed by a bus, phew), and I was very disappointed to learn that they didn't have potatoes with the meatballs - so we had to get it with french fries instead, grr...

other than that - lovely day! Now - The penguins of Madagascar, accompanied by Ahlgrens bilar and my new smelly candles. Night night lovers!

Moko yelled out in excitement when he found free tasting of glögg - but the smile quickly turned to a frown when he realised that not only was it sans alcool, there was none left..

Classics

I spent yesterday working the early hours and then - quite manically - cleaning and rearranging the apartment. So for the sake of balance, I'm spending today doing absolutely nothing. Slept in, am now awaiting food and then maybe a movie or something along that line.

This was probably the most boring post so far. Haha. That's how exciting this grey friday is at mine, but I guess those kind of days are allowed as well.

Will be back when I have something more exciting to share, bisou 'til then my darlings

For some reason this song has been stuck in my head for two days now -
gotta love Judy & Fred

(not to forget my first love - Gene!)

INK

Thank you Stephen!!
(and a little thanks to marcel and mr pringles too, who were there to supervise)

Freudian slip, hello

Talking to emilia about a guy, when I accidentally write 'I won't get my hopes up about him' instead of 'I won't jump him' (almost the same thing in swedish - hoppas, hoppa)...

me: oops freudian slip hello

emilia: is hello his name too?

me: what? no?

emilia: you wrote freudian slip hello? I was wondering if hello is a part of his name?

me: hahah, google freudian slip - it's not his name!

emilia:
oh, I searched for him on facebook...

This just made my whole day, thank you emilia!!

Long live Puss

Friends, family, moose - let me introduce to you, my latest big love!

Puss junior!

My happy place

Waking up at 6 this morning and hurrying to work in the dark, with soaking wet feet after 2 minutes, did not make me a happy camper. A very pissed off camper to be more exact.

Under those circumstances there are few things that cheer me up - but some memories do the trick pretty much every time..

1. My birthday this year - dinner at Chez Papa with my lovely ladies, and the complete surprise when all the lights went out and a candle lit cake came out accompanied by pretty much the whole restaurant singing Happy Birthday. Oh, and the waiter declaring his love for me was a nice finish too..

2. 13th of September, 2010 - a night I will never forget for as long as I live. Axl, I love you 'til I die, that is all I can say.

And listening to this did spark up my morning a bit too:

(best line: playing naked twister back at my hotel, or what do you say my dear moose...?)

Material girl

Earlier this evening, when I came to job #2 of the day (if you can call hanging out with the coolest kid in town a job..?) I was met by a very lovely surprise:

Thanks a million darling Shampa!!

Ice dance

The word on everyones lips today is snow. In the afternoon the sun came out and big flakes of white danced down from the sky.

I forgot how beautiful it can be.. and we all know why it snows, right?

Morning glory

I'm really not a morning person. Whenever I have to get up before 10 (eh, scrape that.. more like noon), I'm not very pleasant to be around, to say the least. It's almost as bad as when I'm hungry..

anyhow - today the alarm went off at 5:30. Pitchblack outside, freezing cold and my two current roomies fast asleep. But today, something was different. Crawling out from under the covers wasn't as bad as it usually is, I even managed to get a bit of breakfast.

Then coming to work only to be fed a bit more and given a rose, it felt like a pretty sweet morning!

Le Love

On this rainy day (haven't seen the sunshine for what? Two weeks now?) I felt it was a good time to share with you, my dear friends, one of my favourite blogs.

Full of beautiful, sad and touching pictures and texts - all about the never boring subject of love. Enjoy!

Like a prayer

Check this out! How exciting?

Congrats Eva!!

I <3 le week end

Shopping and lovely wine/gratin lunch with Dave, movie night with les girls (plus Marcel), hugs with darling Camille who was in town for a night, p'tit afterparty with promising screenwriter-friend Erich and stopping by st germain des pres to say hej to beautiful Anita Ekberg.

Now, coffee and muffins. Perfect weekend!

Muffins and moviedates

After a nice evening of When Harry Met Sally (scandalous capital letters there...!) accompanied by home made muffins with Aurélie, and the last of The Bourne Triology (I did it again..!!) with Matthew I'm tucking myself in.

Hot date at the bank tomorrow, wish me luck!
