Summertime, and the living is easy
Warmest day so far - so we cancelled our trip to the Miró museum, and hung out in his garden all day instead.
Lovely!
Breakfast at our favourite place; amazing food, great atmosphere + people, and it's just around the corner from us!
Spent some quality time with the giant kitty
Spaniards drink coke out of tall, funny looking cans
We managed to sneak in to Mirós garden for free, this is how happy that made us!
A happy one (I was actually terrified, but how good of an actress am I?) in the telefèric de Monjuïc
We survived! And found a fun canon to play with, woop!
Lunch time with a view over the Mediterranean sea, pas mal!
We found the Stureplan of Barcelona!
With funny stone age phone-thingies
A picture can always be improved a bit with the zoom.. eh.
Lizards!
Parc Güell
The long way to the top commences...
... almost there!
Two happy ones at the top!
We were less happy to find the extremely touristy streak on the way down...
Stopped by a cool store full of Inca-stuff and made myself a little necklace
Lunch!
After some more walking it was suddenly almost 6 o'clock - so we decided to get take away coffee (the coffee here is probably the best I've ever tasted!) and hang out with the skaters by MACBA for a bit. Sweet day!
Now - vino and snacks (of course) before heading out to dinner.
Have a lovely evening my darlings!
Newbies
New top, new undies (a set, I feel pretty!), new haircolour - even the mascara is new! After a quick coffee (I need to show you guys the hotel soon, it's pretty amazing.. check this out!) we're strolling out in the sun for brunch before heading to Parc Güell, I feel another lovely day coming our way.
This is how excited we both are about this city:
Laters!
Food, food and then some more food...
After sharing 4 courses of wonderful tapas, I decided it was not quite time for dessert yet. So I gulped down a sweet plate of pasta with tomato/olive sauce, yum! Sometimes my tummy amazes even myself.. I also got to premiere my new LBD, and sip cava - in short, another perfect ending to a great day!
(I know this woho everything is great-attitude gets a bit annoying, but don't worry, I'll be back to my parisian darker view of life in no time. After friday that is!)
Ciao for today loves!
A day at the Zoo
Today we spent a bit over 5 hours at the Barcelona zoo, phew! Zoos are something that, for some reason, always makes me very excited. It's like I become a little kid again, I can hang around the penguins for ages, and I took about one million pictures today.. won't share all of them, 'cause I'm guessing most of you aren't as excited about it as me, but some of it you simply need to see - like the incredibly cool chillin' kangaroo and the family of lions.
Oh, and my red hair! The pictures may not really do it justice, but I am now proud to call myself a little red head :)
Now - wine and snacks, then out on the town for tapas!
Zoo time!
My biggest issue today is if I should wear my new little dress or shorts and my new top, life isn't too bad at the moment. We are now off to the zoo, right by the ocean.
Since my laptop doesn't seem to want to cooperate completely with the spanish system, each picture takes about ten minutes to upload.. so you'll have to live with just one, until I get back later today. Starters at the mexican place last night:
(yum!)
The good life
On tourist streak La Rambla, they sold teensy chicks, fish and baby turtles, amongst others. I felt a strong wish to buy all of them, and give them a better life...
Quick coffee break at Starbucks
By impressive Sagrada Familia!
Found a little Arc de Triomphe, where I felt a little bit like home
Strolled down to the harbour, where mom lost her energy and demanded to go for lunch
Lunch!
A little beso for Mozart before a shopping spree (yay!) around the touristy area by Plaça de Catalunya
Then wine, snacks and colouring of hair (mine - woop! I'll show you tomorrow!) at the hotel before yet another great dinner. Mexican at Rosa del Raval - highly recommended! Nachos, guacamole, quesadillas, burritos and coronitas... once again, I crawl under the fluffy white covers a very happy girl.
Nighty night!
Nighty night!
Coffee and morning sun
Woke up to a room full of sunshine, is there any better way to start the day? Had a cup of coffee from our very own Nespresso machine (the only thing missing is george serving it, while we're still in bed) and now we are off to check out the Sagrada Familia.
Laters babes!
Jack Skellington
Just got back from another great dinner, at a very stylish place called Bar Lobo. A big burger and a couple of beers felt like the perfect ending to a great first day here. Now I'm gonna take a hot bath before curling up under the covers.
Tomorrow the plan is Sagrada Familia, and then we'll see where the day takes us..
Love at first sight with the lamps at the restaurant!
Spanish adventures, day I
While mom is spending some time in the fancy pants gym downstairs, I decided to hang out here with you guys. We've had a beautiful day so far - brunch at a place around the corner, a trip to the MACBA, strolling around in the sun and hanging out by the hotels pool on the roof, overlooking the city.
So far, I love love love Barcelona!
Barcelona!
Hey guys,
the blogs been dead for a while now - I simply haven't had the motivation or energy to update it lately. But this week that's gonna change! 'Cause guess what? I'm in sunny Barcelona!
First thing that happened was that I met up with mom at the airport here, and we managed to step out of customs at the exact same time as a bunch of guys from the barcelona football team (!). So after fighting a bunch of papparazzi, we caught a taxi to get to the hotel. After driving around for a little while, we stopped in front of a very cool looking building - mom goes "ooh, I wonder what building this is? It looks really cool!", and after a moments pause "... oh, it's our hotel!"
So safe to say, the trip started out very well. Now we've had some amazing tapas and lovely red wine, and it's time for a bit of beauty sleep. Anyone who's visited barcelona before is welcome to drop off a comment of what to see and do : )
Hasta mañana!
Give me wine and tapas, and I'll be happy.
Oh and a panorama view + roof top pool helps a bit too.. ; )

Leaving on a jetplane
Not only am I jetting home to Stockholm over christmas and new years - less than two months later me and mommy dearest will be meeting up in Barcelona!
Bestest mum booked flights and a room at an amazing looking hotel just the other day, wiie!
Anyone who has ever been to Barca, feel free to leave tips on what to see and do!
(All I can think of right now is tapas.. tapas, tapas... and some more tapas, miam!)
Mother and daughter in Paris earlier this year - can't wait for february to come!
