Tuesday afternoon

Started the day by waving goodbye to darling Emilia, sniff. Only one little mooseketeer left now! A longed after skype date with Moosabel helped cheer me up, followed by a therapeutic (/insane) cleaning session.

After a couple of True Blood episodes I'm heading off to Davy's for chili,

laters!

A love story

Sitting here on the couch listening to Fairtytale of new york and trying to ignore the sounds of Isabel packing the last of her belongings in the next room. Even though it's only been a couple of months, it feels like we've known each other our whole lives.

My darling moosabel, I'm going to miss you so much. Not much more I can say - I know we will see each other soon again. All you need to know is that I love you

Candy heaven

Yesterday afternoon my favourite little kangaroo took me out on a romantic date, and bought me fudge! First flowers, now chocolates, I think it's getting serious...

Metro list

As many parisians, I spend a lot of my time on the metro. The other day I started making all kinds of lists in my head to pass the time, this is the result of list nr 1!

Activities to make people look at you funny on the metro...

- Say bless you in swedish to a sneezing stranger

- Take someones sandwich, while they're eating it

- Play the Metro game (a sort of music charades game)

- Dance around one of the poles to "In love with a stripper"

- Hang up side down, also using one of the poles

- Share very juicy gossip in swedish, only to hear the guy next to you say excuse me - in swedish - when he wants to get past you

- Get off while the train is still moving, fall flat on your butt and bounce up and down a couple of times

- Pretend that you work for RATP and check everyones tickets

- Make zombie noises when the lights go out

And yes, I assure you, all of these are real life experiences.

Kaboom!

It's not often I recommend movies here, but now I feel that I have to. Went to see the little movie Kaboom last night, with no grand expectations at all - let's just say, the trailer does not do it justice at all.

It completely flipped out after about 20 minutes, out of nowhere it became some sort of comic/horror/drama story, it was funny, scary and the colours and effects were amazing!

See it!

Ms fix it

Todays to do list:

Work (x)

Fix pants (x)

Cut my own hair (x)

Lunch ( )

Movie? ( )

I seem to surprise myself every day this week, three early mornings in a row and I'm still standing! Let's all give me a great round of applause, shall we?

Recess

Took a well needed break in this extremely long day (got up at 6 to go to work and got home now - at one in the morning, what happened there?) to hang out with darling moosabel. Stroll along the champs in the sun, checked out the newest H&M (and the hot guys) and went for starbucks.

Lovely afternoon!

Birthday girl!

Birthday week has officially begun! Spending this historical day with the best people I can think of! How lucky am I??

Therapy

I took the bus home from work today. It took over an hour, but it was lovely. Looking at the city passing by, with nothing but my own thoughts to accompany me. It feels so reassuring to see that the leaves are starting to change colors, that autumn is here and that the one thing you can always be sure of - is that, just like the seasons, life changes.

Not gonna go all deep and sentimental on you guys now, so I'm logging off and going for dinner at a dear friends place instead.

Talk to you later lovers

Cover girl, part deux

More cred to amazing Eva Ferrière !

Cover girl

This past week has been the best one in a long time. Guns n' Roses (yes, I'm still in some kind of ecstasy), dinner at Buddha Bar, great parties and last but definitely not least - a proper photoshoot with a very talented photographer!

Check out her work at evaferriere.com!

Elin says relax

After a sunny afternoon in Buttes Chaumont with the girls I'm off for dinner with dear Rudy, a nice, relaxing tuesday!

(and also, am I the only one not getting stuck in the strike?)

Ideal way to spend an afternoon:

Walking home in the sun, with yesterdays stinking partyoutfit still on. Realizing that your pantyhose are even more ripped now, making you look a bit more like a prostitute. Smeared makeup, hair in a messy braid.

After ten minutes walk among tourists and cutsie (f-ing) couples discovering that your metro pass isn't charged, your credit card is at home, you don't have a cent in your bag and the metro is full of cops.

No headphones for your iPod and sunglasses left in another bag.

Oh, did I say that the wonderful stroll home would take around 45 minutes?

Fucking bullshit day.

Housewife anyone?

Today I felt like a real family girl - got up at 8:30, had coffee while reading the paper online then off to work. Watching a kids movie, making lunch for three, off to the bowling alley. A bit more kid watching, then got home to a completely super-cleaned apartment (emilia - you're my hero!), cooked dinner for two and am now relaxing with music and chatting to darling Isabel.

I feel like a grown up today!

Lazy days

Spent a lovely, sunny afternoon by Paris Plages and strolling around le Marais with sweetpea Isabel who just got back to Paris.

The evening is unusually un-eventful - just me at home, alone, with nachos and movies. Trying not to get too restless...

Photo booth goes streetlife

Oh, the joys of having a mini-photo booth in your phone..

Family portraits

My beautiful mother and my handsome brother came to visit me for a couple of days - I miss them already.
